OPENING HOURS:

Danhostel Herning is open all year.

The reception is open:

Monday to Friday 8:00 to 18:00

Saturday from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00

Sunday and holidays from 08:00 to 10:00.

CHECKING IN & OUT

Check in time is between 16:00 and 18:00 unless you have made a separate agreement.

On the day of departure your room must be vacated no later than 10:00 o’clock. 

On departure your room must be left neat and orderly as on arrival

BREAKFAST HOURS

Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 09:30

Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 07:30 to 10:00

KEYS

On arrival all of our guests receives 2 keys per room

DANHOSTEL DISCOUNT CARD OR GUEST CARD?

A Danhostel discount card is what we used to call a hostel card (vandrerhjemskort). A Danhostel discount card or a guest card is obligatory. The Danhostel discount card is obligatory for all persons over the age of 18, if you want to stay at a Danhostel in Denmark. On the other hand, you will save 35 DKK per night. Children over the age of 16 travelling without an adult is also required to have a Danhostel discount card.

DANHOSTEL DISCOUNT CARD FOR DANES

A Danhostel discount card costs 70 DKK and is valid for 12 months from the day of issue. This means that with just 2 overnight stays, the card has earned its value. In Denmark, every person over the age of 18 is required to have a Danhostel discount card or a guest card. The Danish Danhostel discount card is also valid at foreign hostels, that are members of the international co-operation “Hostelling international” via IYHF (International Youth Hostel Federation).

GUEST CARD

If you do not wish to buy the Danhostel discount card, you are still welcome at all danhostels. In stead you will be charged a small guest fee of 35 DKK per person per night. 

DANHOSTEL DISCOUNT CARDS FOR GROUPS

To be able to stay as a group at the Danish danhostels, you have to be a party of 10 or more travelling together, and in Denmark only the group leader is required to have a valid Danhostel discount card which costs 70 DKK.

The rest of the group can travel with a group card which is free of charge.

DISCOUNT ADVANTAGES WITH A DANHOSTEL DISCOUNT CARD

Besides the saving of 35 DKK per night at Danish Danhostels, there is also a series of other discount advantages connected with the card. Danhostel Denmark has made a number of advantageous agreements with attractions, sights, museums etc. in Denmark.

LINEN PACKAGE INCL. TOWELS

You can bring your own bed linens or you can rent them at the price of 80 DKK. All beds have duvets and pillows as well as mattresses – sleeping bags are NOT allowed.

SMOKING

You are not allowed to smoke inside Danhostel Herning and all rooms are therefore 100 % smoke free. There are ashtrays outside the doors. You will be charged an extra 1.000 DKK if you smoke in your room.

DOG(S)

You are not allowed to have dog(s) in your room unless this in advance is arranged with Danhostel Herning – service dogs are not affected by this rule.

If you bring a dog to your room, you will be charged an extra cleaning fee of 150 DKK per room.

FOOD

Dinner can be arranged if you are a group of 20 people or more, and you will need a written agreement. 

Cooking and eating in the room is not allowed.

PAYMENT

Reservations must always be paid in advance

CANCELLATION

If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact Danhostel Herning as early as possible. Unless you have a separate written agreement, these are the terms:

1-2 nights of stay can be cancelled up to 3 days before scheduled arrival and the amount paid in advance will be refunded with the exception of 100 DKK in administration fee per room. Hereafter the contract is binding and you will be fully charged for your complete reservation.

3 or more nights of stay can be cancelled up to 7 days before scheduled arrival and the amount paid in advance will be refunded with the exception of 100 DKK in administration fee per room. After that the contract is binding and you will be fully charged for your complete reservation.
