The reception is open:
Monday to Friday 8:00 to 18:00
Saturday from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00
Sunday and holidays from 08:00 to 10:00.
CHECKING IN & OUT
Check in time is between 16:00 and 18:00 unless you have made a separate agreement.
On the day of departure your room must be vacated no later than 10:00 o’clock.
On departure your room must be left neat and orderly as on arrival

On arrival all of our guests receives 2 keys per room
HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL (HI) CARD
A Hostelling International (HI) Card provides a number of advantages. With a valid HI Card, you get a 10% discount on your accommodation when you book your reservation via danhostel.dk/en, hihostels.com, or at the reception desk of any Danhostel during business hours.
The 10% discount is not valid on bookings made via websites other than danhostel.dk, hihostel.com or Danhostels own web shops.
You also get discounts on events and attractions throughout Denmark. A HI Card saves you money when you spend your holiday in Denmark.
Guests who do not have a HI Card may purchase one.
PURCHASE OF A HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL (HI) CARD
A Hostelling International Card costs 160 DKK and is valid 12 months from the date of issue. It can either be purchased when you book at any Danhostel, danhostel.dk/en, Danhostel’s web shops, or hihostel.com.
BENEFITS OF A HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL CARD
Once you purchase your HI Card, you get access to attractive discounts on experiences and attractions.
The room prices shown on our website reflect the membership discount.
PLEASE NOTE: When you book your accommodation, the amount charged for the room will not reflect the discount. The discount will be refunded when you check in at the hostel and present a valid HI Card.
You are not required to purchase a HI Card when you stay at a Danhostel; however, we have made it attractive to be a member of Hostelling International. Members with a valid HI card can obtain at least 10% off the room rate and obtain discounts to various attractions in Denmark.
The HI card is valid for singles, couples, families with children, and groups.
LINEN PACKAGE INCL. TOWELS
You can bring your own bed linens or you can rent them at the price of 80 DKK. All beds have duvets and pillows as well as mattresses – sleeping bags are NOT allowed.
SMOKING
You are not allowed to smoke inside Danhostel Herning and all rooms are therefore 100 % smoke free. There are ashtrays outside the doors. You will be charged an extra 1.000 DKK if you smoke in your room.
DOG(S)
You are not allowed to have dog(s) in your room unless this in advance is arranged with Danhostel Herning – service dogs are not affected by this rule.
If you bring a dog to your room, you will be charged an extra cleaning fee of 150 DKK per room.
Dogs may only be alone in the room if they are in metal cages (max. 3 dogs each room)
FOOD
Dinner can be arranged if you are a group of 20 people or more, and you will need a written agreement.
Cooking and eating in the room is not allowed.
GUEST KITCHEN
You have the opportunity to utilize our guest kitchen, complete with refrigerator and freezer, oven, range, electric kettle, coffee maker, and pots and pans. It is not allowed for groups to use our guest kitchen which is reserved for families.

Reservations must always be paid in advance
CANCELLATION
If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact Danhostel Herning as early as possible. Unless you have a separate written agreement, these are the terms:
1-2 nights of stay can be cancelled up to 3 days before scheduled arrival and the amount paid in advance will be refunded with the exception of 100 DKK in administration fee per room. Hereafter the contract is binding and you will be fully charged for your complete reservation.
3 or more nights of stay can be cancelled up to 7 days before scheduled arrival and the amount paid in advance will be refunded with the exception of 100 DKK in administration fee per room.
